Procedure: Methods and Protocol

1. Initial Assessment and Mapping

Site evaluation includes:
  • Soil composition, moisture levels, and structural vulnerabilities.
  • Identification of active trails and conducive areas.
  • Customized station layout plan developed based on building footprint and termite pressure.

2. Station Deployment

IGS Deployment
  • Augered or hand-dug to depth of ~20 cm.
  • Positioned flush with ground for aesthetics and safety.
  • Includes moisture-retentive soil backfill.
AGS Deployment:
  • Installed on direct infestation points using adhesives or mechanical fasteners.
  • Foam sealant or bait-matrix pads used to retain humidity.

3. Monitoring and Baiting

Inspection Schedule
  • Every 4 to 6 weeks during the active season.
Upon Detection of Activity:
  • FEX interceptors are replaced with REQUIEM® bait cartridges.
  • Continued inspections confirm bait consumption and reduction of termite numbers.

4. Elimination Phase

Colony suppression typically occurs within 4–12 weeks, depending on colony size.

Indicators:

  • Disappearance of termites from stations.
  • Absence of fresh mudding.
  • Reduction in feeding activity.

5. Post-Elimination Management

  • Stations remain in place as part of the ongoing monitoring program.
  • Fresh interceptors are installed to detect future invasions.
  • Optional integration with building maintenance programs.
